Welp, do people even check my dA anyway? xD I almost forget I have this since not a lot happens over here. I have some stuff I plan on uploading soon, it's just a matter of time because dA keeps freaking out on me.

So anyway, Megacon!
I'll be there all weekend, but I think I'll only be buying a one-day pass unless some money just falls into my hands. It's a good, big con, but it's overpriced and I don't really want to pay $60 to just hang around the dealer's room, since I'm not all that interested in guests or the panels.

Cosplay plans:
Friday - Alternate Future Dave from Homestuck (about 90% complete)
Saturday - Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4 (Done!)
Sunday - Super secret Disney cosplay! (75% complete)

So I'm excited for that! I'll be attending the promstuck meetup, the tumblr meetup, rated E for everyone, and the Disney photoshoot!
I'll be staying at the Ramada, which is a ways down the road (and thus, sadly requires driving) but it's cheap as hell and I like cheap. xD

I'll be shamelessly promoting Khaotic Kon all weekend, because it'll be an awesome thing to attend and I've got two panels going on there/am helping out with a third, plus I'm double-casted, in two of the con shows! It's April 13th-15th at the Doubletree Tampa East.

Welp, that looks longer than it is mostly because I already have 3 of them done, oops!

Hey everybody! It's been awhile since I updated or even posted ANYTHING here, so I guess it's time for a journal!
I've been much more active over on my cosplay.com than I have been here: www.cosplay.com/member/280982/ So, if you want to keep up with all of my newest stuff I guess it's better to check over there than here, probably because their gallery is MEANT for cosplay, and I talk quite a bit on the forums over there.

I hope everyone has a great new year, I've resolved to:
A- Be more positive.
B- Improve my skill in photography and sewing.
C- Maintain my GPA and get 2 semesters closer to graduating.
D- Find and apply to grad school!
E- Possibly get a job?

If you're a cosplayer in my area, what do you think you'll be attending? Are you excited? My favourite cons are AFO and Holiday Matsuri, but I'm also really excited to try and go to Otakon for the first time in my life!

Welp, just because I have a Homestuck cosplay (and a second one in the works) doesn't mean that I'm done with Hetalia, that's for sure! I still love Hetalia and a lot of the characters, but I think I might need a little break, my America wig is starting to get worn out, but I still need to fix up my Rev!America cosplay, and I really want to put together an Aviator!America cosplay, as well as a few other ideas I had.

As for upcoming cosplays, I have quite a lot planned for the new year, but I actually have put a significant dent in quite a few of these new outfits already, so it's not AS crazy as it may look!

So much to do this coming year! Of course, lists like this are always subject to change, because plans change and I'm prone to losing interest in ideas/coming up with tons of new ideas that get in the way of doing everything, and of course, ALL OF THIS STUFF is if my money situation stays in a decentish place. That's why so much of this stuff is marked as "possibly" on the to-do scale. I was thinking of even marking a few more things as "possibly" but I'm SUPER excited for Mephisto Pheles and Yosuke! If you're a cosplayer too, what one thing are you looking forward to, outfit or convention or what?

xD I've never entered a costume contest before, and I saw there was an Atlus contest, so I figured...eh, why the hell not? It's a pretty small-ish contest with only like 200 entries and my costume's not GREAT, but it's a start, right? I really like the photos I entered, anyway.

UH SO OTHER STUFF.
SHADOCON WAS THIS PAST WEEKEND.
IT WAS GOOD.
Shadocon kinda needs to get their act together as far as organization goes, and be smarter with scheduling, but I could rant about that all night.
Other stuff. Good stuff. IN LIST FORMAT BECAUSE I HATE WRITING CON REVIEW STORIES REPORT THINGS.

Friday:
Egoraptor panel was funny.
I was a very lonely Barnaby cosplayer. D:
It was fucking cold.
I was actually a little bored some of the time.
The people who came to Con Etiquette panel were all really chill and we had a great discussion.
I was so wired on caffeine and so little sleep I really don't even remember half of what happened on Friday.

Saturday:
Hetalia meet-up was fun.
It was fucking hot. I almost got sick.
Hetalia panel was moved to a big room! Yay!
Hetalia panel was also a huge success! (Despite a few rowdy crowd members.)
Dealer room was lacking in things relevant to my interest. Oh well. SAVED ME MONEY THOUGH.
Rode the elevators for half an hour as Souji and Yosuke from persona 4 with Marissa! We played Persona music from my headphones and called it the "elevator music."
Played the KING'S GAME with lots of random people between the special events room and the bar! Everyone was a great sport!
The 8-bit rave was way better than expected. Partied hard.
Stayed up super-late in the lobby, talking to people who turned out to be people from the internet I had met before.

Sunday:
Egoraptor, Doug Walker, and Uncle Yo panel was funny too.
I expected to see more pony cosplays--I only saw one other Rainbow Dash all weekend!
Hung around with and met lots of other cool cosplayers.
There was a distinct lack of events I cared about on Sunday. o_o;
Got labeled as one of the "not-annoying Hetalia cosplayers." I WAS PROUD OF THIS TITLE and I wasn't even wearing my Hetalia cosplay at the time.
Dear shadocon: please have your MAIN EVENT SHOWS not overlap the GUEST PANELS and ATTENDEE PANELS I actually care about. I hate having to choose what I want to go to. D:

Next convention is Holiday Matsuri! I have so much to do before then, I almost don't want to think about it, but I'm also mega-excited! I'll be hosting an Aperture panel and a Crossplaying panel there with some friends of mine! 8D Is anyone else planning on going? It's a first-year con, but it looks really good!

Phew, now that everything's calmed down after Metro, I just want to say: OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE I LOVE YOU ALL THANKS FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT I REALLY WOULD HAVE GIVEN UP AND THROWN EVERYTHING OUT IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU.

No, I am completely. COMPLETELY. Serious. It has been a drama-tastic summer and I've been miserable. After Hetalia panel, I hated myself and wanted to cry so badly. After all the Metrocon official cast drama, I felt used, thrown out, and worthless. After I realized that the Metrocon official cast drama took all my hard-earned money and I barely had enough for the con I felt like total garbage. Even after my Shadocon rejection, which I took horribly and threw an angry fit over (I didn't believe what everyone told me about Metrocon and Shadocon every year, but they were right. I'll just admit it. You guys were right about ALL OF IT). But you guys, you guys are amazing. Everyone who helped me even the slightest or even said a single word to make me feel better, to encourage me to never stop cosplaying, even a fave on here, anyone who has ever left me a comment about anything, or introduced themselves at a con, or asked me for a photograph, or those of you who just listened to all of my terrible bullshit whining and my tales about how awful everything was for me...I love you. You are all my world and I can't thank any of you enough. I cannot even put my gratitude into words.

(On the upside, there's still Con Artists, and I've had ZERO experience with them before, and while I've heard a mixed bag about them, I'm going to see how things go for me, I've signed up for their Shadocon events, and who knows? Maybe they'll like me? I want to be able to prove I am a good cosplayer, a good actor, a good dancer, and not feel like inferior trash the whole time.)

That all said! Anime Day 4 is two weeks away, and I'm not bringing Hetalia for once. It worries me a little because I'm afraid a lot of the usual peeps won't talk to me, but I'll be Morty from Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver versions, and I plan on exploring the abandoned parts of the hotel because they're super cool. (I don't have any of those cool Burger King pokeballs though, I wasn't allowed to go to Burger King when I was little, so I'll be pokemonless. D: )

So much excitement planned for AFO! And it's all unofficial so there isn't any derpy drama, yay! I'll be hosting the Vocaloid Ball! EVERYONE SHOULD COME OH MAN, it's lots of dancey-dancey, and we encourage you to get up and JOIN said dancey-dancey, even though there are a few skits and dances by the performers, we mostly just want to blast the music and have a good time! No vocaloid cosplays required! It's listed on the con website as Miku's Musical Adventure, and I'll be plugging the HELL out of it until con weekend!
Another awesometastic panel you should all consider attending is the Ouran Host Club panel! I'll be Tamaki, there will be tasty treats for a small fee (Like, really small. like....$1 small) and you can sit and talk with all of the characters! We're basically running it like the host club is in the manga/anime! I'll probably also bring Morty to AFO too, and maybe America or Scotland, I love being them both around, so I don't know yet. We'll see!
